Hello, wanderers. Sit down, pour yourself a cup of tea. It’s terrible outside, but it’s lovely here.
I thought we were due for an update on my Kickstarter progress. A House of Many Doors is currently sitting pretty at over 200% funded, and still 9 days to go! I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am to you all.
Where will the extra funds be going? If you’re a backer, you’ll already know about this, so feel free to stop reading now and go think for a while about what a great and generous person you are. Sit down and really contemplate it.
For those who might not have read the backer update yet: HOMD artist Catherine Unger has been hard at work! She’s produced some mock-ups of what the game will look like once the sprites which I drew (fairly terribly) have been replaced by her professional artwork. Of those she sent me, these two really stood out – as I said in the backer update, they are surreal, sinister and ominous in exactly the right quantities, and I’m having a hard time choosing between the two!
The more funding I get, the more ambitious I can be, with more and more art like this added to the game. The sky’s the limit, and I can always use a little more help!
If you feel like getting in on the action, you can find the Kickstarter here. And if you don’t want to back the game, I understand – why not help me out instead by clicking one of those little ‘Share’ buttons below? They don’t bite. Often.
